THE GRAMERCY SCHOOL OF WINE AND SPIRITS
The Gramercy School of Wine and Spirits is New York City’s most talked about wine school. Within weeks of opening its educational doors in 2002, the school has packed it’s classes with students eager to learn, taste and talk about wine.
The school was founded by people in the wine industry with a passion for wine and a common goal. Simplify, explain and explore wine in a friendly, fun, educational setting. The accumulated knowledge of over 35 combined years of wine industry experience and relationships has enabled us to assemble the best representation of wines of the world. While working for Food and Wine Magazine’s “Best Importer/Distributor in the USA”, Lauber Imports, has enabled us to forge friendships with today’s cutting-edge wine producers and many revered wine industry leaders. This enables us to use wines in class before the magazine critics review them and wine becomes impossible to get.
When you enjoy your work so much it goes beyond a job and becomes a passion, you develop a sense of understanding and want to give back the joy it has given you. It’s at this point the Gramercy School was founded. We don’t just work in the wine industry, we live in it and for it.
